You Really Shouldn’t Buy a New iPhone Right Now

Why? New iPhones are coming. And if Apple’s iPhone event takes place in September, like it usually does, they’ll be coming in a little over a month.
We don’t know exactly what the upcoming iPhones will look like or what features they’ll have. But thanks to a plethora of rumors, leaks and analyst predictions, we have a pretty good idea.
2019 iPhone Lineup
At least one but possibly two of this year’s flagship devices are likely to have a triple-lens camera, which could allow for better zoom, low-light capabilities
The 2019 iPhones could also get two-way wireless charging, so you can keep your AirPods and other Qi-enabled devices juiced up just by placing them on your iPhone’s back glass.

Across the lineup, rumors suggest that Apple is going to boost the performance of the cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. That means you’ll be able to connect much faster, no matter which wireless option you choose.
Looking to get a mid-range handset? This year’s iPhone XR successor is expected to get a dual-lens camera, a faster processor, and some of the other aforementioned upgrades. It may also come in new lavender and green color options.
They may also get bigger batteries, which is a highly requested feature and is always a win for consumers.
If the admittedly incremental features of this year’s iPhones aren’t enough to sway you, just wait until 2020 to pick up a new Apple flagship. It’ll be worth the patience.
2020 iPhone Lineup
2020’s iPhones will likely include at least one 5G-compatible device in their lineup. While the hype surrounding 5G is strong, there’s no doubt that the blazingly fast speeds will be much appreciated when 5G networks start to roll out on a broader scale.
Apple may also be adding a smaller 5.4-inch device to its lineup, meaning that users who are holding out in hopes of a smaller iPhone XE-type smartphone may have a reason to upgrade.
There may not be any LCD-based iPhones in 2020, either. Every iPhone in 2020 could have an OLED display. Meaning you won’t have to skimp on the display standard if you opt for the mid-range devices.
Additionally, there are a variety of rumors suggesting that next year’s Apple handsets could feature USB-C ports, insanely fast processors, a smaller or no notch, and laser-powered 3D cameras for better augmented reality.
