Q&A: What is the difference between the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro at $1499?
What is the difference between the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro at 99?
Im was planning on buying the MacBook Air, because the MacBook is powerful but its too expensive, but then I saw the MacBook Pro for $ 1499 the same price as the 13 inch MacBook Air.
So if I buy the MacBook pro for that price will it still be more powerful then the MacBook Air at the same price?

The difference between the Pro’s and the Air’s are that the Pro’s will have the magnetic platter drive with much more storage space, and will have an optical drive as well. The Air models are going to be much thinner and lighter and will not have the optical drive and have a solid state hard drive instead of the magnetic platter drive. The solid state drive is smaller and does not have as much storage space as a magnetic platter drive, but is also faster. You did not mention the models you are comparing but from the price, i assume you are comparing the MacBook Pro model# MD102LL/A and the MacBook Air model# MD232LL/A am I correct? The difference between these two is that the Pro has an I7 processor and 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 750GB mag platter drive. The Air has an I5, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 256GB solid state drive. Therefore the Pro is a more powerful and faster machine and has more storage.
