As with every swirling iPhone rumour, we won’t know for certain until Apple introduces the device. If consistent hints are anything to go by, though, the company will likely bring smaller changes to the table before an overhaul in 2017.
The news will no doubt be welcomed by those looking to upgrade this autumn, with users set to be able to actually use their phones for fun things like taking photos, downloading apps and streaming media offline.
Let’s just hope this rumour doesn’t fall within the pile that proves to be untrue, and we can finally wave an easy goodbye to the 16GB iPhone.
