Dark Mode could be coming to macOS Sierra
When Apple introduced Dark Mode upon the release of its Yosemite operating system, it only offered a toned-down view of the dock and menu bar.
New images suggest that the feature could be about to expand, though.
As spotted by 9to5Mac, Mac developer Guilherme Rambo posted screenshots to Twitter, seen below, showing off the darker wardrobe for Safari and system preferences.
It’s not clear how Rambo gained access to the dimming feature, as it isn’t part of the developer or public beta for macOS Sierra.Despite persistent rumours, Apple also did not confirm its existence on any of the upcoming updates to its operating platforms.
Although… a similar leak popped up around a month ago for iOS 10.
This all points to the company at least testing out Dark Mode, even if it doesn’t appear to be close to the finished product.
Could it see a late, surprise introduction into this fall’s updates, or will users be left squinting at stark brightness for a while longer?
