Alphabet chairman Eric Schmidt has finally come clean to his long love affair with iPhone.

The former Google CEO was spotted using an iPhone to take pictures in South Korea earlier this year and was finally confronted about using the enemy’s device at a CNBC’s Startup Fest in Amsterdam this week.

Schmidt admitted that he does use an iPhone and an Android device at the same time, but one is clearly superior.

“Samsung S7 is better. It has a better battery. And those of you who are iPhone users (know) I’m right,” Schmidt told the audience during a fireside chat.

The iPhone 6s in Schmidt’s pocket may not have as good a battery as the S7, but it doesn’t run Android. The simplicity and usability of Apple’s iOS software is what draws most customer’s to the iPhone, along with its design.

Schmidt using an iPhone isn’t that big of a surprise considering he once sat on Apple’s board of directors before the company launched Android and Steve Jobs decided to go thermonuclear on the company

Google has since embraced iOS by bringing more of its flagship apps to the platform. It evenreleased a keyboard for iOS last week to better integrate search into other apps.
