Apple announced today the first major update to the iPod touch in nearly three years. The company also updated the iPod nano and iPod shuffle with new colors, but not much else.

While the iPod touch maintains the same screen size as previous models, it got Apple’s latest A8 processor (also found on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus), an 8 megapixel main camera, an updated FaceTime camera, and the fitness tracking M8 processor. The updated iPod maintains the $199 starting price, with 32GB and 64GB options available for $249 and $299 respectively.

The iPod touch got a new camera and a couple new colors last year, but no processor improvements. This is the first major update since 2012, when it was introduced with an updated, Retina screen alongside the iPhone 5.

The iPod nano and iPod shuffle got smaller updates, with just a few new colors. Interestingly, the nano maintains a pre-iOS 7-like interface, with chunkier on-screen buttons and sliders than the current iOS devices.

All three devices come in new colors: the space gray and gold available on iPhones, along with silver, pink and blue. A (PRODUCT) RED option is the only previous color to stick around.

The new colors leaked earlier this summer when an image files in an iTunes update were spotted by 9-to-5 Mac.
